This blog is written by Travis and Amber. We are a married couple from the United States who became disillusioned with the suburbanite American dream. So we sold everything we owned and moved to New Zealand. We arrived in Auckland Oct. 5, 2009 with no jobs, contacts or housing. We made this website to share the story of our escape from America to the Land of the Long White Cloud with our friends, family, and other would-be expatriates.
